JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Police say a 17-year-old male found shot in bullet-riddled sport-utility vehicle was a student at a western Pennsylvania high school.

Grief counselors were available for students Friday at Greater Johnstown High School, about 60 miles east of Pittsburgh.

The Cambria County coroner’s office says 17-year-old Makiah Jones died of gunshot wound to the head.

His body was found before 1 a.m. Wednesday in the vehicle, which was parked in an alley.

Johnstown police Chief Craig Foust says shots were fired about a mile away just before midnight, and police believe the two incidents might be related.

Police aren’t saying if they believe drugs were involved, saying they aren’t releasing information on a suspect or motive early Friday.
