TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Tempe are looking for a man they say fatally shot his ex-wife’s new boyfriend and then fled.

Police spokesman Lt. Michael Pooley says detectives are trying to track down 39-year-old Julio Cesar Galindo Hernandez.

Pooley says Hernandez went to the apartment to confront his ex-wife and her new boyfriend early Friday. His ex-wife ran to call police and Hernandez then shot her new boyfriend.

Pooley says detectives consider Hernandez armed and dangerous and are asking anyone who knows where he may be to call police. He’s believed to be driving a beige or tan 1999 Mercury Marquis sedan with Arizona license BKG0211.
