CINCINNATI (AP) - A second day care center employee suspected of striking children at the facility has been arrested on a child endangerment charge in southwest Ohio.

Nineteen-year-old Stachya Powell was arrested Wednesday night and is scheduled for arraignment Thursday. The Cincinnati Enquirer reports (https://cin.ci/1FjBf5X ) that police reports say Powell was working at the ACCS Early Learning Center on March 27 in Silverton when she struck multiple children several times in the head and flung one child to the floor.

A second worker at the center, 19-year-old J’Moni Bonner, was also charged with child endangerment Tuesday. Court documents say Bonner struck a 1-year-old boy to the ground to discipline him.

Court documents list no attorney for Powell. A message seeking comment was left for Bonner’s attorney Wednesday.
