AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) - Air Force Academy officials say a cadet who was found injured in his dorm room has died.

The cadet, whose name has not been released, was found at about 2 p.m. Thursday and died at about 3:45 p.m. Investigators have not released a cause of death or any information about the injuries.

Academy spokesman John Van Winkle tells the Colorado Springs Gazette (https://bit.ly/19NbBew ) the school canceled evening activities and is trying to determine the whereabouts of all 4,000 cadets on the campus. The incident happened on the closed area of the campus where cadets live and study.

In January, the academy increased security on the 18,500-acre campus and required all people using the school’s trails and recreational areas to use a buddy system after a pair of attacks.

Officials declined to talk about the nature of those attacks.
