DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware wildlife officials are reminding hunters of regulations just ahead of spring turkey hunting season.

The season opens on April 11 and runs through May 9. Hunting is allowed from a half hour before sunrise to 1 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Division of Fish & Wildlife says the bag limit for all turkey hunters is one bearded bird per year.

All harvested birds must be checked at an authorized turkey check station by 2:30 p.m. on the day of the hunt.

Hunters are required to have completed a turkey hunter safety and education class.
