ATLANTA (AP) - A bill legalizing fireworks sales in Georgia is headed to Gov. Nathan Deal for consideration.

Opponents have said the devices are dangerous but the House easily agreed to Senate changes to the bill in a 124-41 vote on Thursday.

If signed into law, the measure would require fireworks companies or nonprofits using the sales as fundraisers to be licensed and to pay certain fees. Retailers could be permanent buildings or temporary stands.

Sales would be limited to people 18 years or older.
