CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - An Iowa Falls woman has pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $144,000 from a bank where she’d worked.

Federal prosecutors say Teresa Kobriger was convicted after making the plea Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids. Prosecutors say she stole the money while working for Iowa Falls State Bank from about December 2008 through December 2012. Court documents say Kobriger took cash from teller drawers and the bank vault and fraudulently altered bank records to cover up the theft.

She faces up to 30 years in prison. Her sentencing date hasn’t been set.
