BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Two men police say are involved in the contract killing of two Boise men and injuring a woman over a marijuana theft have denied involvement.

Forty-four-year-old John Douglas of Reading, Pennsylvania, on Thursday in 4th District Court pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.

Thirty-four-year-old Anthony Robins of Fremont, California, pleaded not guilty to two charges of aiding and abetting first-degree murder and one count of aiding and abetting attempted first-degree murder.

Fourth District Judge Sam Hoagland ruled that the two will be tried together and set a trial date of Aug. 10.

Police say Robins arranged for Douglas to carry out the May 8 shooting deaths of 27-year-old Travontae Calloway and 28-year-old Elliott Bailey.

Calloway’s girlfriend was wounded.
