LEXINGTON, N.C. (AP) - Investigators have identified the man who drowned in High Rock Lake in Lexington.

North Carolina Wildlife Enforcement Officer Branden Jones told local media outlets that 65-year-old William Waldon Coleman of Greensboro drowned Wednesday afternoon.

Jones says Coleman’s body was found several hours after crews began searching.

Jones said Coleman was an experienced fisherman who often fished at High Rock Lake.

Someone spotted Coleman’s truck at a boat dock and then saw a boat drifting offshore with no one aboard. .
