RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Officials in Raleigh are working to identify the body found in a burned home.

Multiple media outlets reported that firefighters were called to the home around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Investigators said the home was supposed to be empty. They said utilities had been cut off to the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
