CROSS LANES, W.Va. (AP) - Police say a naked woman tried to rob a convenience store in Cross Lanes and then asked police to take her to jail.

Kanawha County Sheriff’s Cpl. Brian Humphreys says the woman entered the One Stop early Thursday morning and demanded that the clerk open the register’s drawer. After putting her hand in the drawer, the woman told the clerk to take her to the store’s safe and grabbed the clerk’s hair.

A witness opened the store’s door around that time and helped the clerk leave the store.

Humphreys says the woman didn’t have a weapon.

Humphrey says the woman told a deputy who responded to the incident, “Take me to jail.”

Thirty-year-old Drema Setliff of Charleston was charged with robbery. Jail records didn’t indicate whether she has an attorney.
