LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - President Barack Obama is visiting a Louisville technology company to give a speech about the nation’s changing economy.

The event at Indatus on Thursday is Obama’s first presidential event in Kentucky since he visited troops at Fort Campbell in 2011. The president has been flown into Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport in Hebron, Kentucky, to attend events across the Ohio River in southern Ohio.

With his visit to Kentucky, Obama comes to a state that voted against him both times he won the presidency. Kentucky Republicans have used a recurring theme of trying to connect their Democratic opponents to Obama’s policies.

Obama has no other public appearances planned in Louisville other than his speech at the tech company.
