WHEATON, Ill. (AP) - A judge has sentenced a 21-year-old suburban Chicago man to 25 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to murder in connection with a beating death stemming from a dispute at a party.

DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said Jonathan Jimenez, 21, of Aurora on Thursday became the last of three teens sentenced for the Nov. 17, 2013, beating death of 22-year-old Thomas Tecuatl of Wheaton.

A dispute broke out at a party in that Chicago suburb. Prosecutors say multiple individuals chased Tecuatl as he fled, then caught up with him when he slipped and fell. A resident found Tecuatl’s body on his front lawn hours later.

Two co-defendants of Jimenez each pleaded guilty to one count of armed violence and were sentenced to 14- and 17-year prison terms.
