HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) - A convicted rapist has pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder in the death of a 29-year-old suburban Portland woman.

The Oregonian reports (https://is.gd/xx2Kpi ) that Jaime Tinoco glanced around the courtroom with a relaxed expression during Thursday’s arraignment. His relatives declined comment after the hearing.

Tinoco turns 18 on Friday. He was sentenced last week to more than 14 years in prison for raping and beating a woman outside Autzen Stadium last September.

A grand jury indicted him this week in the Aug. 19 killing of Nicole Laube.

Tinoco lived with his parents across the road from the Washington County apartment complex where Laube worked. She was stabbed in the chest while hanging lease-renewal fliers.
