SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a woman is dead after she was shot while waiting in her car at a traffic light in Summerville.

Local media outlets report that the shooting happened shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday.

Dorchester County Coroner Chris Nesbit says 57-year-old Lynn Harrison was going to meet her son for lunch when she was shot in the neck by another driver in what was apparently a random shooting.

Police say Jimi Redman Jr. was arrested a short time later and charged with murder. Investigators say the shooting appeared to be random.

It wasn’t known if Redman had a lawyer.
