YUMA, Ariz. (AP) - A Yuma man accused of stabbing his father in the head during an argument may be facing more serious charges now that his dad has died.

Yuma police say 25-year-old Blake Brown was originally being held on suspicion of aggravated assault but now may be facing a murder charge.

They say 62-year-old Bruce Brown was rushed to Yuma Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries Monday and later flown to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix. He died on Wednesday.

Police say there apparently was a verbal confrontation Monday afternoon between the father and son and Blake Brown allegedly used knife to stab his dad.

They say he fled the scene after the incident and later was located in Phoenix and arrested.

It’s unclear if Blake Brown has a lawyer yet.
