RED BANK, N.J. (AP) - Two people were rescued by a good Samaritan after their boat overturned in a central New Jersey waterway.

Red Bank police say the boat flipped over in the Navesink River around 11 a.m. Monday. The two people on board were in the chilly water for about 15 minutes before they were rescued.

The pair were soon taken back to shore, where they were treated for exposure. Their names were not released.

The Coast Guard responded to the scene and is assisting with the recovery of the boat.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
