CONWAY, Ark. (AP) - A University of Central Arkansas senior has picked up the Southland Conference’s top individual golf honor for the third consecutive year.
The conference announced Monday that Pep Angles was named Men’s Golfer of the Year after a vote of the league’s head coaches and sports information directors.
The Barcelona, Spain, native is the first three-time honoree since 2004. Angles finished in the top 10 a league-high nine times out of 11 tournaments, including a win at the Bill Ross Intercollegiate.
