WHITTIER, Calif. (AP) - Los Angeles County authorities are searching for two suspects who opened fire inside a Whittier residence during a home invasion robbery - before getting away with thousands of dollars.

Police Lt. B. Ellis says about six people were home late Monday when the two men forced their way inside and demanded money.

Ellis says one of the robbers fired a single warning shot. He says the pair fled with several thousand dollars.

City News Service says investigators are trying to determine if any of the residents knew the suspects.

No injuries are reported.
