WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say more than $40,000 in equipment has been stolen from a Waterloo welding supply company.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports (https://bit.ly/1P3tcgg ) that a Superior Welding employee arrived for work Monday to discover anywhere from $40,000 to $50,000 worth of equipment missing. Items stolen include cutting tools, helmets, copper and more.

Investigators say it seems that someone broke a piece of glass on the front door to get inside. They say the burglary occurred sometime between when the store closed Friday night and opened Monday morning.

No arrests have been made in the case, which remains under investigation.
