WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) - Authorities in Wausau arrested seven people on possible drug charges after chasing a suspect who crashed his car.

Marathon County sheriff’s officials say investigators were watching what they suspected was a drug trafficking house and tried to stop a car that left the residence Wednesday. The driver sped away, blew through a red light and lost control of his vehicle. The car rolled over and hit some trees and the driver tried to flee on foot. WAOW-TV (https://bit.ly/19NiKvF ) says he was arrested a short distance away.

Officers say they found drugs in the car, obtained a search warrant and went back to the house where they found methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, prescription drugs, drug paraphernalia and money. That led to the arrest of six others, including four men and two women.
