CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia students’ achievements in the arts will be on display in Charleston.

The annual Arts Alive celebration is set for Friday night at the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences. The event showcases outstanding arts education programs and students’ achievements in dance, theater, music and visual arts. There will be 20 performances and 200 pieces of student art on display.

The art exhibit opens at 6 p.m. and performances begin at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
