LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, Ark. (AP) - A grand opening ceremony is planned for a new community support center at Little Rock Air Force Base.

The ceremony for the opening of the Walters Community Support Center will be at 10 a.m. Friday.

The center combines consolidate the Airman & Family Readiness Center, Base Library, and Community Activities Center under one roof and is named for Col. Kenneth A. Walters.

Walters was a 19th Mission Support Group deputy commander. He died in 2012 after a battle with cancer.
