OCEANSIDE, Calif. (AP) - The husband of a 74-year-old woman who died in a fire at a Southern California mobile home has been arrested on suspicion of setting the deadly blaze.

Oceanside police say 63-year-old Andrew Hollis was arrested Thursday on suspicion of murder and arson. It wasn’t immediately clear whether he had an attorney.

Hollis has been in a hospital burn ward since Feb. 22, when firefighters were called to the Lamplighter Mobile Home Park and found the home in flames.

Hollis was found outside the home, suffering from serious burns and smoke inhalation.

His wife, Gertrude, was found dead in a bathtub with the water running. Authorities have said she was apparently trying to escape the flames.

Investigators have not released a possible motive for the arson.
