ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - An Alexandria man is facing charges in connection to a March 6 crash that killed a brother and sister.

Alexandria police tell The Town Talk (https://townta.lk/1yJXsFw ) Mayon Jones was arrested Thursday after toxicology and other forensic testing determined that Jones was impaired at the time of the crash.

Jones was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center on two counts of vehicular homicide, first-degree vehicular negligent injuring, failure to maintain control and driving under suspension.

Killed in the wreck were 18-year-old Darius Jones and his sister, 15-year-old Kashayla Jones. Another unidentified person also was injured in the crash.

Jail officials couldn’t provide the name of a defense attorney to comment on the charges.
