DADE CITY, Fla. (AP) - A Tampa Bay area man has been convicted a second time in a 2006 drug-related slaying.

A Pasco County jury found 27-year-old Luc Pierre-Charles guilty Wednesday of two counts of first-degree murder. His sentencing is scheduled for May 13. Pierre-Charles was previously convicted in 2009 of killing 17-year-old Derek Pieper and 18-year-old Raymond Veluz, but the convictions were overturned in 2011.

Authorities say Pieper and Veluz were shot execution-style, on a dirt road in Trilby in July 2006, in what appeared to be a drug deal gone bad.

A second man - 29-year-old Tyree Jenkins - also has been charged in the killings. He’s already serving a life sentence for an unrelated 2008 murder in Hillsborough County.
