ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (AP) - The town of St. Johnsbury is continuing its search for a new town manager after efforts that began last year failed to find a replacement.

Applicants have until Sunday to submit applications.

The town has been advertising the job for nearly three weeks.

Outgoing Town Manager John Hall had planned to leave this month when his contract ends, but has agreed to stay on part-time until a replacement is found.

The Caledonian Record reports (https://bit.ly/1GQtGFW ) that selectmen announced March 11 that they were scuttling the initial search started in late 2014 because it delivered only one suitable candidate who took a job elsewhere.
