ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) - A 34-year-old man has been sentenced to 190 months in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter and assault as a result of a 2013 drunken driving accident.

The News-Review in Roseburg reports (https://bit.ly/1I10spr ) that Shaun Lowry was sentenced Wednesday for hitting and killing 24-year-old Amanda S. Bell in August 2013. He also injured Shawnasey E. Hyatt, who suffered several broken bones.

Lowry had initially pleaded not guilty to the charges in February 2014 but changed his plea on April 21.

He received a 10-year sentence on the charge of manslaughter and a five-year, 10-month sentence for assault. The sentences for the other charges to which he pleaded guilty, including driving under the influence and reckless endangerment, will run concurrently.
