WARRENSBURG, Mo. (AP) - A northeast Missouri man will be sentenced June 12 for helping a friend kill his father.

The Warrensburg Daily Star-Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1bXPeVH ) that 20-year-old Christopher Hendren was found guilty Wednesday of second-degree murder, armed criminal action and first-degree burglary in the January 2012 death of Walter Feldman in Centerview.

Prosecutors say Hendren, then 16, drove 17-year-old Jacob Feldman to the victim’s home and gave a gun to Jacob, who shot his sleeping father. The boys then left with the guns and spent the weekend together.

Defense attorney Donald Catlett argued that Hendren went to the victim’s house to steal marijuana and did not know that Jacob intended to kill his father.

Jacob Feldman pleaded guilty in January to second-degree murder, armed criminal action and first-degree burglary in his father’s death.
