OAKDALE, N.Y. (AP) - Police on New York’s Long Island say a 92-year-old cab driver has died after crashing into a home.

Nassau County Police say Joseph Saccente may have suffered a “medical emergency” while driving Thursday morning around 7:10 a.m. in Oakdale.

That’s when they say his cab crashed into a home after driving across multiple lawns, striking mailboxes. Police didn’t report any other injuries.

Saccente was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. His Colonial Taxi cab was impounded for a safety check.
