CONWAY, Ark. (AP) - A Conway college professor has been banned from the school’s campus following accusations he had child porn on his computer.

University of Central Arkansas police arrested the economics professor in his office last week on suspicion of possessing child pornography on his state-owned computer. The 45-year-old has been released from jail on a $15,000 bond.

The professor was notified in a letter by the college’s executive vice president and provost that he was suspended with pay pending further investigation.

A university police report shows police had received a complaint from a technician in the school’s Department of Information Technology.
