HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) - Marshall University is looking for three students to play the role of Marco, the school’s mascot.

Friday is the deadline to apply.

Two of the students selected to play Marco will work with the Athletic Department. Each student will receive a $1,000 per-semester scholarship, free textbook rental from the University Bookstore and other perks.

One student will work with the Office of University Communications. The student will be given a student assistant position and will earn $12 an hour for appearances, plus travel expense reimbursement. Other compensation includes travel apparel and free on-campus parking.
