WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) - Authorities have identified the officers involved in a shooting in Waterloo.

The Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation says officers Thomas Frein and Mark Nissen fired several shots at a vehicle early Sunday morning after 27-year-old Javon Darnell Webb drove into Officer Steve Bose.

Waterloo police arrived at the parking lot after receiving a report of a fight involving about 40 people in the parking lot of New World Lounge 2. Officers were attempting to break up the fight and stop Webb from fleeing when Bose was struck.

Bose was treated at a hospital and released. Webb is listed in stable condition at Allen Hospital.

Webb hasn’t been charged in connection to the incident.

The officers have been placed on administrative leave. The shooting remains under investigation.
