LAWTON, Okla. (AP) - Lawton police are searching for two men in connection to a shooting where an officer was injured.

Capt. Craig Akard says officer Cameron Patterson suffered a minor laceration to his right hand on Sunday morning after being hit by shrapnel. Patterson was treated and released from an area hospital.

Akard says Patterson’s patrol car was shot at during or after a chase that began when he spotted a stolen truck. He says two men in the truck escaped on foot after they drove to a dead end.

Police are searching for the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
