STORRS, Conn. (AP) - The University of Connecticut is opening up its basketball arena Tuesday night for its fans to gather and watch the women’s basketball team compete for a record 10th national title and third in a row.

Gampel Pavilion will open at 7:30 p.m. for the game against rival Notre Dame, which is scheduled to tip at 8:44 p.m.

The school is setting up a large screen on the court to view the telecast from Tampa, Florida. The school says admission will be free and open to all members of the university community.

The concession stands also will be open and the UConn pep band, mascot and cheerleaders will perform.
