OSCEOLA, Ark. (AP) - The U.S. Coast Guard and other agencies are searching for a man who is believed to have fallen from a tugboat on the Lower Mississippi River near Osceola.

Officials say the incident was reported to authorities around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The Coast Guard says the deckhand reportedly fell overboard from the vessel Joe Ellis into the river around mile marker 782.

Mississippi County Sheriff Dale Cook says the deckhand is still considered a missing person and that the search will continue Wednesday.

At least four agencies are assisting in the search.
