ATLANTA (AP) - Forecasters say isolated thunderstorms are expected in a large swath of north and central Georgia.

The National Weather Service says scattered thunderstorms are expected Tuesday afternoon and evening. Forecasters say thunderstorms and rain are expected to end in the late evening and the storms are not expected to be severe.

Forecasters say the main threats in the storms could be wind gusts up to 35 mph, cloud to ground lightning, and brief but heavy downpours.
