CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Gov. Maggie Hassan says she will nominate Vicki Quiram of Bedford to serve as the commissioner of the Department of Administrative Services.

Quiram is currently assistant commissioner of the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services.

Hassan says the commissioner of the Department of Administrative Services “is critical to ensuring efficiency in the state’s operating performance, helping to protect taxpayer dollars and maintain fiscal responsibility.” She says Quiram will bring a broad array of management experience in both the public and private sectors to the department, having managed an array of staff, budgets, and environmental and engineering projects, throughout her career.

The nomination must be confirmed by the Executive Council. Hassan is expected to make the formal nomination to the council on Wednesday.
