WOODBURN, Ore. (AP) - Wherever he’s been, Pete the pet goat is back home in Woodburn, Oregon.

KPTV reports (https://is.gd/4JKssr ) that Pete’s owner, Deidra MacKimmie, says her neighbors found the goat dragging a fence post and blackberry bushes on their property about half a mile away. They returned him.

MacKimmie says Pete was happy to see her and ran to her when they were reunited.

She had been searching for Pete and posted an online notice after the 7-year-old pet vanished from her front yard last week. She said she believed that a line attached to his collar had been cut and she worried that he might wind up as a dinner entree.

Woodburn is about 30 miles south of Portland.
