WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) - Police say one person has been injured in a pair of shootings in Waterloo.

The Waterloo Police Department responded to reports of the first shooting just before 10 a.m. Tuesday on Elm Street in Waterloo. Officers at the scene say one person was shot and fled the home, arriving at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital minutes later. His name and condition haven’t been released.

Police say they haven’t determined whether shots were fired inside or outside the residence. Others in the home weren’t injured.

About an hour later, police received a call reporting gunshots near West Second Street and Western Avenue. No injuries were reported, but a nearby vehicle had a shattered rear window.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports (https://bit.ly/1ySII75 ) that it’s unclear whether the shootings were connected.
