FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - The death of a man found south of Fairbanks is being investigated as a homicide.

Alaska State Troopers say the body of 21-year-old Todd Nosal of North Pole was found just before 1 p.m. Sunday on the dike near the Tanana River.

Troopers did not immediately release a cause of death and said an autopsy was scheduled by the state medical examiner.

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner (https://bit.ly/1yQ4PLm) reports Nosal’s next of kin was notified.
