MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia University’s police department has bulked up its K-9 unit.
WVU police Lt. Josh Cook says the department has added two dogs, bringing its total to five.
Cook says a Czech German shepherd named Sierra will be used to sniff out narcotics, while a chocolate lab named Ally will detect explosives.
Cook tells The Dominion Post (https://bit.ly/1NO46kK) that Ally will be used to help with sweeps at major sporting events, which can take six hours at the WVU Coliseum and two days at Milan Puskar Stadium.
