PASADENA, Calif. (AP) - Police say an anonymous tip led to the arrest of two people and the seizure of 500 pounds of marijuana at an illegal hash oil manufacturing operation in Pasadena.

The San Gabriel Valley Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1CUIAI7) officers also seized 200 pint-sized bottles of hash oil during the bust on Monday.

Lt. Mark Goodman says officers served a search warrant after a tipster reported a strong odor of marijuana coming from the building in a commercial area.

Police detained 28 people but later released 26, who Goodman says were workers.

Thirty-nine-year-old Jeffrey Raber and 43-year-old Mark Piesner were arrested on suspicion of manufacturing a controlled substance. Each is due in court in June.

Police say the men claimed to be manufacturing botanical medicine.

It wasn’t immediately known if the suspects have lawyers.
