HOUSTON (AP) - Two Houston men suspected in more than a dozen bank robberies have been sentenced to prison for a pair of holdups in 2013.

Earnest Elonzo Hamilton was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison. Kevin Joseph Riggs received 15 years behind bars.

Both men last August pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated bank robbery and one count of brandishing a firearm during a violent crime.

Court officials on Tuesday noted prosecutors had linked both men to 17 robberies in the Houston area. The pair pleaded guilty in two cases.

Riggs and Hamilton were arrested following the July 2013 robbery of a Wells Fargo bank in League City. Both also pleaded guilty to robbing a Wells Fargo bank in Spring in February 2013.
