NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A public meeting on public transit is scheduled for the South Carolina Lowcountry.

The Wednesday evening meeting, “Transit: Show Me The Money,” is being held at North Charleston City Hall. The session will discuss the importance of public transit and how it’s paid for.

The forum includes state Department of Transportation Commission Chairman Jim Rozier as well as officials from local governments, the Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority and those who ride buses.

The meeting is sponsored by the local League of Women Voters as well as the League of Women Voters of South Carolina.
