HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - Garland County authorities say a man who was wanted on a parole violation has been arrested and now faces 84 counts of criminal possession of explosive material.

The sheriff’s office announced the 38-year-old man has been taken to a Garland County jail, where he was being held without bail as of Tuesday night.

Authorities say that in addition to the parole violation, the 38-year-old man was wanted for questioning in an incident involving stolen explosives. The sheriff’s office says a significant portion of the stolen explosives have been recovered.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives assisted the sheriff’s office in arresting the man Tuesday afternoon. Hot Springs police and the Department of Community Correction’s special response team helped as well.

Further details weren’t released.
