GEORGETOWN, Del. (AP) - A 22-year-old man has pleaded guilty in the death of his 3-month-old son.

Sidney Davis III of Rehoboth Beach pleaded guilty to second-degree murder on Tuesday in Superior Court in Georgetown. He faces 10 to 33 years in prison at sentencing on June 12.

According to court documents, on May 10, 2014, Davis called 911 and said his son, Zha-den Davis was not breathing. The infant was rushed to a hospital and died the next day. Document say the medical examiner ruled that the baby died of head trauma, and prosecutors allege that Davis shook the child.

Davis’ lawyer tells The Daily Times of Salisbury (https://delmarvane.ws/1DKC2zj) that his client is a decent person who had a momentary lapse that resulted in a tragic disaster.
