OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Officials at Oklahoma Forestry Services say extreme wildfire conditions are possible in the western one-third of the state.

A red flag warning and fire weather watch has been issued for Wednesday afternoon in advance of a dry line that will move across the state, bringing higher temperatures, low humidity and gusty winds.

The areas of greatest concern are counties in the far western Panhandle and western Oklahoma west of Alfalfa County in the north to Tillman County in the south. Oklahoma forestry officials are urging residents not to do any burning Wednesday.

Oklahoma Forestry Services is coordinating state and federal wildland fire resources for response if necessary, as well as communicating with Oklahoma Emergency Management and fire departments across the state about the possible high fire danger.
