FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - A 35-year-old Indiana man has been charged after a months-long investigation into an explosion that destroyed a truck and damaged a nearby building.

Ricky Williford of Garrett is charged with possession of a destructive device or explosive. WANE-TV (https://bit.ly/1FlHTvd ) reports he faces a habitual offender enhancement on the charge based on his criminal history.

Auburn police say a bomb went off last October in a truck parked in the lot of a mechanic’s shop. The explosion pushed up the truck’s roof, blasted out its windows and windshield, and also shattered windows on a nearby building.

Several people, including the shop owner, reported hearing the explosion, but no one was injured.

An investigation into the bombing incident is ongoing, and Williford could face further charges.

Online court documents don’t list an attorney.
