RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Capitol Police say someone stole two signs commemorating the Civil War’s sesquicentennial that were posted in Capitol Square.

Capitol Police say in a news release that the thefts occurred on April 4 during the “Future of Richmond’s Past” event. The National Park Service signs display enlarged antique photo reproductions.

Police are searching for a male suspect who was captured on surveillance video. Police say the man was accompanied by a woman and a dog.
